Don Brandon plans to retire as baseball coach at Anderson (Indiana) at the end of the 2010 season, his 50th year at the school, including time as a player and assistant coach. Brandon, who succeeded former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Carl Erskine as Anderson’s head coach in 1972, enters his final year with 1,074 career victories, second-best among active Division III baseball coaches. Three of his teams advanced to the final round of the Division III Baseball Championship.

Men’s basketballTravis Ford signed a new contract through 2019 at Oklahoma State, where he led the Cowboys to a Division I Men’s Basketball Championship berth during his first season.

Men’s basketball assistants -- Nelson Albino appointed director of men’s basketball operations at New Jersey Institute after playing at Drew.

Women’s basketball assistantJames Stellato hired at Stephen F. Austin.

Men’s and women’s cross countryJordan Zwick named volunteer assistant coach at Florida Atlantic.

Men’s lacrosseKevin Zulauf promoted from assistant coach at Richard Stockton, where he has been on the staff for two years and also played.

Men’s and women’s track and fieldKeven Syverson named interim men’s and women’s coach at Wisconsin-River Falls, stepping in for Martha Brennan, who is on a leave of absence.
