UNLV named Jerry Koloskie interim athletics director. Koloskie has been serving as acting athletics director since the recent departure of Mike Hamrick. Koloskie spent the last 10 years as senior associate athletics director with the Rebels. He began his career with UNLV as an athletic trainer. He has served on the NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports.

Coaches

Softball – Hamilton hired former Stetson pitching coach Tracy Coffman as head coach. A former Toledo student-athlete, Coffman also coached at Central Florida.

Staff

Sports information –MIT promoted Mindy Brauer to interim director of communications, marketing and promotions. Brauer has been assistant director of sports information for the Engineers since August 2003.

Conferences

The Big Ten Conference announced four new hires: Kerry Kenny, Stephanie Kirby, Julie Suderman and Jay Reid. Kenny, former chair of the Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, will serve as assistant director of compliance. Kirby, who has sales and marketing experience at Michigan State, will be assistant director of championships. Suderman, a former controller at Willow Creek Association, will fulfill the same role with the Big Ten. Reid, who worked at DVSport, was tabbed as video coordinator.
