District of Columbia announced former Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Jeff Ruland as its new men’s basketball coach. Ruland brings more than 30 years of professional and collegiate playing and coaching experience to the game. He has played professionally for teams in Washington, Philadelphia and Detroit and spent nine years as the head coach of his alma mater, Iona

Director of athletics – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has named Timothy Fitzpatrick as AD.

Coaches

Men’s basketball – Roosevelt hired Joe Griffin as men’s basketball coach.

Women’s basketball – Robyn Scherr-Wells has been selected as women’s basketball coach at Roosevelt.

Women’s basketball assistants – Caitlin Gillard has been selected as an assistant at Hamilton. … Army named Erin Mills as an assistant coach.

Men’s and women’s cross country – District of Columbia named Jasmine Rogers to coach the men’s and women’s cross country and women’s track and field programs.

Football assistants – Nathan Larned has joined the Angelo State football staff as defensive line coach.

Men’s and women’s golf – Gannon named Dave Patronik and Jason Willow as men’s and women’s golf coaches, respectively … Barry Duncan was hired as Kentucky Wesleyan’s men’s golf coach.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse – Lauren Pacelli was named coach of the women’s lacrosse and soccer programs at Cazenovia.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse assistants – Andrew Kelleher has been selected as assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Hamilton.

Men’s and women’s tennis – Saint Rose chose Sarah Mayer as women’s tennis coach … Holy Cross named Lisa Meola women’s tennis coach … Miami (Ohio) selected David Emery as women’s tennis coach.

Men’s and women’s volleyball – Sheila Weaver was hired to coach the women’s volleyball team at District of Columbia … Bryan Bobo will lead the women’s volleyball program at Cazenovia.

Staff

Assistant athletic trainers – Maine-Farmington hired April Buchheit as an assistant athletic trainer.

Communications – Central Florida named John Denton to its athletics communications staff.
