Lawrence Coleman retired after a 37-year career at Saint Augustine’s. He spent the majority of his years at the college as the men’s golf coach and was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame in 2002.

Director of athletics

San Diego State added three years to the contract of Director of Athletics Jeff Schemmel, extending it through June 2013.

Coaches

Women’s basketball -- Randy Tuggle has been named coach of the Greensboro women's basketball and men’s and women’s cross country teams … Raegan Pebley signed a new contract with Utah State that will retain her as the Aggies coach through the 2011 season. Her present contract with its existing terms will be extended by two years.

Men’s and women’s cross country – John Lintz was named coach of men’s and women’s cross country teams at Otterbein … Southern Connecticut State men’s cross country and track and field coach Jack Maloney announced his retirement from both posts.

Men’s and women’s ice hockey -- Chris MacKenzie has been named women’s hockey coach at Niagara.

Softball -- Otterbein named Christine Steines its new softball coach … Oregon announced that the contract of softball coach Kathy Arendsen will not be renewed.

Men’s and women’s track and field -- Otterbein named David Lehman coach of its men’s and women’s track and field teams.
