LaVelle Moton promoted to head coach at North Carolina Central, where he played from 1992 to 1996 and has been an assistant since 2007. He played professional basketball in Indonesia and Israel, then coached at the high school level before joining the North Carolina Central staff.

Other transactions

FootballFred Guidici named interim head coach at Menlo, replacing Mark Kaanapu, who was named head coach at Merced College. Guidici has been at the school for 13 years, serving as recruiting coordinator for the athletics department in addition to coordinating special teams for the football program and serving as director of football operations.

Football assistantsErik Slaughter hired as defensive ends coach and Curt Corbin named defensive tackles coach at Stephen F. Austin.

Men’s golf assistantScott Theriault named assistant coach at Carleton. He is a former Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the year at Luther.

Women’s soccerElijah Denton promoted to head coach at Pfeiffer, where he has been top assistant for two years.

Women’s swimming and divingSean Raffile resigned after one year as head coach at Western Illinois, where he was the Summit League’s women’s coach of the year this year.

Women’s volleyball assistant – Josh Wielebnicki joined the staff at Western Carolina after serving as a student assistant at Illinois State.

Staff

AdministrationJocelyn Fisher hired as staff specialist for athletics administration at Kentucky. She has served this year as an intern in the NCAA national office’s diversity and inclusion staff.
