Brennan O’Donnell has been named the president at Manhattan, effective July 1. O’Donnell currently serves as a dean at Fordham, and had previous teaching stents at Loyola (Maryland) and North Carolina. O’Donnell will succeed Thomas Scanlan, who will step down after nearly 22 years as the school’s president.

Coaches

Baseball –Charlotte head baseball coach Loren Hibbs signed a contract extension through the 2012 season.

Women’s basketball – North Dakota coach Gene Roebuck was given a contract extension through the 2012 school year.

Football assistants – Sewanee appointed Hank McClung as its offensive line coach. He will also serve as the school’s men’s golf coach.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse assistants – Wheaton (Massachusetts) named Sarah Booker and Megan Elston as assistant women’s lacrosse coaches.

Men’s and women’s soccer – Bowling Green hired Eric Nichols as its men’s soccer coach. Nichols spent the 2008 season as the assistant coach at Davidson.

Men’s and women’s volleyball – Amy Bambenek has been named the women’s volleyball coach at North Carolina-Wilmington.
