Jamie Green was chosen as head men’s golf coach at Duke.  After five-and-a-half years as the head coach at Charlotte, Green will take over as the seventh head coach in the history of the Blue Devils’ golf program. At Charlotte, Green led the 49ers to four NCAA tournament appearances, finishing in the top 10 in 2007 and 2008, and earned Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year three times. He also led the squad to three Atlantic 10 championships. Green, a 1993 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan who competed in the 1992 NCAA Division III Championships, formerly was an assistant at North Carolina and Auburn.
 
Other transactions

Director of athleticsMylo Hellickson, faculty athletics representative at South Dakota State University since 1977, was appointed as acting director of athletics. Hellickson, whose appointment takes effect immediately, replaces Fred Oien, who announced his retirement last month.

Football – Massachusetts head coach Don Brown resigned to assume responsibilities as defensive coordinator at Maryland. In five seasons, Brown compiled a 43-19 record and led the Minutemen to two NCAA tournaments including the 2006 FCS title game … Rob Ambrose was named as the fourth head coach in the 40-year history of the Towson football program. Ambrose, a 1993 graduate of the school, has spent the past seven seasons at Connecticut. During his tenure, the Huskies compiled 49 wins and made appearances in three bowl games.

Football assistant – Shenandoah announced assistant football coach Joe Jacoby will join the program full-time. Jacoby, who worked with the offensive line this past season as a volunteer assistant, will begin his full-time duties in July. Until then, he will serve in a part-time role. Jacoby, a 1983 Louisville graduate, starred from 1981 to 1993 with the Washington Redskins in the NFL.
