Duquesne signed head women’s basketball coach Suzie McConnell-Serio to a multiyear contract extension that secures her as the Dukes’ coach through 2013-14. McConnell-Serio, who was inducted to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame last June, has taken Duquesne from seven to 20 wins in just two season as coach. She posted a 15-15 record in 2008, and guided the Dukes to a 20-12 mark and a WNIT appearance last season.
