The NCAA is soliciting nominations for January 2010 vacancies on the Division III Management Council and committees in the Division III governance structure.

Vacancies also will be filled on the Division III Financial Aid, Interpretations and Legislation, Membership, Nominating, and Strategic Planning and
Finance Committees.

The deadline for nominations is August 14, and they must be submitted online here (the Division III access code is committee3; the Division III password is 2006).

Division III Management Council:  Four vacancies. One appointee must be a president or chancellor; two appointees must be ethnic minorities; three appointees must be males; one appointee must be from Region 3 (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia). Per NCAA Bylaw 4.8.1, the Management Council composition is limited to presidents and chancellors, faculty athletics representatives, directors of athletics, senior woman administrators and conference representatives. Conferences currently represented on the Council and therefore not eligible for additional service – Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, Capital Athletic Conference, College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, Colonial States Athletic Conference, Commonwealth Coast Conference, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference, Middle Atlantic States Conference, Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference, North Coast Athletic Conference, North Eastern Athletic Conference, St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Skyline Conference, Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, State University of New York Athletic Conference.
