Grand Valley State wins first women's soccer crown

The third time was the charm for Grand Valley State’s women’s soccer team. In their third finals appearance in four years, the Lakers defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills, 1-0, to take the Division II title in Tampa on December 5.

Lakers midfielder Ashley Botts said she was in the “right place at the right time” to make the game’s only goal. [More]
