Following is a summary of Division II news from the week of February 16-20.

The Division II Football Committee is proposing an adjustment to the earned-access option for championship participation by allowing conference champions that are just outside of the top six in the regional rankings (either seventh or eighth) to qualify.

The Division II Men’s and Women’s Soccer Committees are deliberating schedule options to prepare for instances in which a participating institution has written policies against Sunday competition for religious reasons.

Holy Family women’s basketball coach Mike McLaughlin recently reached the 400-win plateau faster than any other NCAA women’s basketball coach. In addition, Jamey Gelhar of St. Martin's recently set an all-time NCAA record for consecutive free throws.
