Division II rewind

Following is a summary of Division II news from the week of August 3-7.

The Division II Presidents Council has added men’s and women’s basketball to the Life in the Balance project by endorsing a proposal to reduce the maximum number of regular-season games from 27 to 26.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference is piloting a site-rotation plan for league championships in several sports to ease administrative and cost burdens.

The Division II Championships Committee named West Alabama Associate AD Janet Montgomery as chair.

The Championships Committee also announced future championship sites for wrestling and women’s golf.
