Following is a summary of Division II news from the week of May 18-22.

  • It’s Make-A-Wish time for Division II – the point in the year when schools wrap up their individual campaigns and the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee discovers whether it met year-end goals. If the success at Dowling is any indication, Division II will have another good year for its favorite charity. Every athletics team at Dowling contributed to a record total for an individual school.   • It’s also championship time in Division II. Several finals are being televised by CBS College Sports network. Find out more.
  • At a time in which Division II is focusing on expanding opportunities for women in sports (both in competition and athletics administration), officials at St. Thomas Aquinas have taken steps to diversify their coaching staff within the last year.
