Concordia (New York) is adding men’s and women’s golf to the Clippers’ sports offerings beginning in 2010-11. Scott Allen will coach both teams.

Allen has coached previously at Manhattanville, Seton Hall and Adelphi. He has led two schools to a combined three NCAA regional appearances, three conference championships and seven tournament titles. Four of his teams have qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference championships, and his players have won seven individual titles.

“Needless to say, we are extremely excited to welcome coach Allen and the golf program to the Concordia community,” said Concordia Athletics Director Ivan Marquez. “Scott brings a wealth of experience and contacts in the golf world, which will most certainly bring us to the forefront of the sport.”
