The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has launched a new Web site that co-brands Division II and the “I Chose” campaign.

Led by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara, a former Division II Management Council member, the league’s new Internet presence features all 14 member school logos in Division II hexagons at the top of the page next to a larger Division II hexagon that displays the six attributes of the division’s strategic-positioning platform (learning, resourcefulness, balance, service, passion and sportsmanship).

Scrolling over the institutional hexagons prompts a larger version of that school’s logo to pop up in the Division II hexagon.

Other features, such as the league’s regular “Faces of the CACC” also are co-branded and feature more about why the particular student-athlete or coach chose Division II.

“It’s part of an ongoing commitment to co-brand and link ourselves very visibly to Division II,” Mara said. “The ‘I Chose’ initiative has played perfectly into where we were going all along. When we had the opportunity to do a redesign earlier this year with Presto Sports, it was a natural that we would try to get as many of the hexagons and references to I Chose as possible.”

Mara said staff at Presto Sports were a quick study, suggesting that the six attributes be displayed in the Division II hexagon.

“We didn’t ask them to put the six attributes on the upper right hexagon, but hey, if anyone has trouble remembering what they are they can go to our Web site to find out,” Mara said.
