Bowden gathering will be four of a kind

New North Alabama football coach Terry Bowden is recruiting his father and two brothers to participate in “A Day with the Bowdens” July 14, with proceeds going to support the Lions’ football program and athletics department.

Terry was hired in January to lead the North Alabama program. Joining him will be his father Bobby of Florida State and brothers Tommy and Jeff. Terry Bowden recently hired Jeff as wide receivers coach and associate head coach.

The four coaches have amassed 131 years of collegiate coaching experience. Bobby, Tommy and Terry having a combined record of 583 career wins, and each posted a perfect season (Terry in 1993, Tommy in 1998 and Bobby in 1999).  

They plan to speak about their championships and their losses and the valuable life lessons they have learned from both. They also plan to tell participants how to be champions on and off the field, as well as in the classroom and in business.
