The West Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference both extended agreements for sites for conference championships.

The WCC men’s and women’s basketball tournaments will remain at Las Vegas’ Orleans arena through 2012. Atlanta’s Georgia Dome will host the SEC football championship game through 2015.

The Orleans Arena hosted the sold-out men’s and women’s West Coast Conference tournaments for the first time in 2009, setting conference records for total championship attendance and single-session attendance. The 2009 events were the first held at a neutral site.

The 2010 WCC tournaments will be March 5-8.

The SEC football title game has been sold out every year but one since the Georgia Dome began hosting the event in 1994. Last year’s championship game pitted Alabama against Florida and drew the largest crowd for a sporting event at the Georgia Dome.

The 2009 SEC championship game is set for December 5.
