Tennessee co-head softball coach Ralph Weekly won his 900th career game Sunday when the Lady Vols beat South Carolina, 9-2, in the second game of a doubleheader.

Weekly, in his eighth season with the Lady Vols, coaches with his wife, Karen. The husband-wife duo took over the Tennessee program in 2001, turning a 24-35 team in 2001 into a squad that finished third at the Women’s College World Series in 2005 and 2006 and second in 2007.

Weekly coached at Pacific Lutheran (where he was also a football assistant), Chattanooga and Air Force. He also served several years with USA Softball.
