Tar Heels win 20th women's soccer title

North Carolina captured its second consecutive – and 20th overall – Division I Women’s Soccer Championship with a 1-0 victory over Stanford at Texas A&M’s Aggie Stadium on December 6.

North Carolina’s Jessica McDonald scored the game’s only goal less than three minutes into the game. She was assisted by the tournament’s most outstanding player, Casey Nogueira. The championship loss was the Cardinal’s only defeat all season. [More]
