The Southern Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committees raised $10,678.34 for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. Members of all the conference SAACs sold pink shoelaces and completed other projects to raise money for the cause.

Samford collected the most donations in the conference, raising $3,375 and winning a $500 cash prize. The Bulldogs sold Pink Zone apparel − including T-shirts, shoelaces and crocs − in the school’s cafeteria for students and the general public on several days in February.
