The Southeastern Conference will distribute $132.5 million to its 12 member schools as part of its 2008-09 revenue sharing plan.

The revenue distribution is the highest total distributed in conference history, a 4 percent increase over the $127.6 million league schools received in 2007-08.

The money is generated through television agreements for football and basketball, bowl games, conference football and men’s basketball tournaments, and distributions from the NCAA.  The average amount distributed to each school was $11.1 million.

In addition to the $132.5 million, the institutions retained $11.6 million for bowl-game participation and $744,000 from the NCAA divided among all 12 schools for academic enhancement.

The league also announced its Executive Committee members.

The SEC Executive Committee officers for 2009-10 will be Lee T. Todd Jr., Kentucky president, president; Bernard Machen, Florida president, vice president; and Howard Brill, Arkansas faculty athletics representative, secretary. Other Executive Committee members are Robert Witt, Alabama president; Jay Jacobs, Auburn athletics director; Bill Bearden, South Carolina faculty athletics representative; and Carla Williams, Georgia senior woman administrator.
