NCAA officials have announced a date switch in preliminary-round sites for the 2010 Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

First- and second-round games in Spokane, Washington, originally set for Thursday, March 18, and Saturday, March 20 will be played Friday and Sunday, March 19 and 21, while games originally scheduled for March 19 and 21 in Oklahoma City will be played March 18 and 20.

The change will assure national exposure for all games of the championship.

Along with Oklahoma City, other first- and second-round sites playing March 18 and 20 are New Orleans, Providence and San Jose. Buffalo, Jacksonville and Milwaukee join Spokane as hosts for first- and second-round games March 19 and 21.

Regional hosts for the 2010 championship are Salt Lake City and Syracuse (March 25 and 27), and Houston and St. Louis (March 26 and 28). The NCAA championship culminates with the Final Four April 3 and 5 in Indianapolis.

Tickets to the 2010 Final Four are sold out, as are tickets to preliminary-round sites in Milwaukee, Providence, Salt Lake City and Spokane. Tickets are still available for the opening-round game in Dayton on March 16, as well as preliminary-round games in Buffalo, Houston, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Jose and St. Louis.
