The NCAA News

The NCAA Division I Committee on Athletics Certification is looking for peer-review team members for the third cycle of athletics certification that began this fall.

The committee is hoping to update its pool of peer-review team members by asking current participants to continue as peer reviewers for third-cycle visits. Once the pool has been updated, information on training for the third-cycle changes will be sent to those who express interest.  Training sessions will be conducted online during spring 2009. Participation of peer-review team members is critical to the success of the athletics certification program.

The NCAA national office contacted current athletics certification peer-review team members to gauge interest in remaining on the team for the third cycle. Those who were not contacted and would like to continue as a peer-review team member should send contact information to thirdcycleprv@ncaa.org by November 7.

Anyone interested in serving who has never served on a peer-review team or participated in the training should complete the peer review candidate form.
