The Patriot League will celebrate National Girl and Women in Sports Day with events at each campus and plenty of support from the conference office.

In addition to a beefed-up Women in Sports annual magazine that provides features on young administrators, Patriot League success stories and other accounts of women in athletics, the conference has also expanded its Patriot League Celebrating Women in Sports Web page dedicated to the celebration with Patriot League milestones, spotlights on Patriot League women administrators, and questions and answers about the impact of athletics with coaches, administrators and former league student-athletes.

On the Web page, each school has provided at least one article on a female student-athlete or coach, featuring women who confront and overcome challenges, succeed in the face of adversity and accomplish incredible things. The common thread through all the stories is the role athletics plays in each woman's life.

The official celebration of National Girl and Women in Sports Day, themed "All In!" is February 6. The Patriot League will kick off its celebration with a skills instruction event in conjunction with an American women's basketball game versus Lafayette. Events will continue at all league schools throughout the month of February. Schools have planned things like poetry readings, autograph sessions, ticket deals, poster promotions and special displays.
