The LSU-Troy football game scheduled for Saturday night will be postponed until November 15 due to damage suffered on the LSU campus from Hurricane Gustav. Both schools had November 15 open on their schedules.

The school cancelled soccer and volleyball games set for the weekend as well. The LSU Soccer Complex was damaged, and the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, where the volleyball team plays, is in use as a medical special-needs facility. The school also cancelled this week’s installment of football coach Les Miles’ radio show.

LSU advised fans with tickets to the LSU-Troy game to keep their tickets for use on the rescheduled date.

“The welfare of the people of Baton Rouge, the uncertain power issues facing all of us and the condition of Tiger Stadium were all factors in making this decision,” said LSU Athletics Director Joe Alleva. “We are fortunate that both schools had a common open date later in the year. I am appreciative of the cooperation of the good people at Troy for their understanding of this situation.”
