Four top men’s basketball programs will headline The Hartford Hall of Fame Showcase, the first basketball event to be played in the new Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Lucas Oil Stadium opened in August and will also be the site for the 2010 NCAA Men’s Final Four and Super Bowl XLVI in 2012.

Home to the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium will host Indiana against Gonzaga and Notre Dame versus Ohio State on December 6 at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. Both games of the doubleheader, which is an annual fund-raiser for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, are expected to be televised nationally.

The 2008 Hall of Fame Showcase will accommodate up to 40,000 fans in its first trip to a domed stadium since the event was launched two years ago.  In addition to the games, multiple community outreach events and a youth clinic are planned. For more information about the Hall of Fame Showcase, visit www.hoophall.com or www.experienceBEST.com.  Tickets range from $15 to $250 and may be purchased at the stadium box office, all Ticketmaster locations or at www.Ticketmaster.com
