Following is a summary of Division I news from the week of August 11-15.

• The Women’s Basketball Committee announced eight finalist cities to host the 2012-16 Women’s Final Fours. Finalists are: Columbus, Ohio; Dallas; Denver; Indianapolis; Nashville; New Orleans; San Antonio; and Tampa, Florida.
