For every yard gained by both teams in the Raycom Southeastern Conference Game of the Week, Regions Bank will donate a new tree to the Arbor Day Foundation’s work to reforest areas within the southeastern United States.

nullAs part of the “Yards for Trees” project, the bank will also plant a tree in the home team’s community in conjunction with the Raycom SEC game of the week.

“We know that there are small steps that each of us can take to make our world greener,” said Scott Peters, Regions chief marketing officer. “We see this effort as an extension of what we’re attempting to accomplish with our new LifeGreen Checking and Savings account, which – like Yards for Trees – is a way of saving some green and being a bit greener.”

The first Raycom SEC game of the week was Florida vs. Hawaii on August 30.
