Milestones: Vermont women's basketball coach Sharon Dawley earned her 200th career coaching victory December 16 when the Catamounts beat Harvard, 84-60. The home victory was sweet for junior guard Amy Rosenkrantz as well, who put up a career high 22 points. Sophomore May Kotsopoulus also had a breakthrough performance with 20 points. The Catamounts improved to 7-3 on the season.

Conferences: Conference USA and CSTV.com relaunched the official Web site of Conference USA, ConferenceUSA.com. The redesign featuers wider photo layouts, rotating stories, a video menu and a fan headquarters page. "The redesign of ConferenceUSA.com represents our continuing commitment to providing fans and site visitors with the most comprehensive and interactive coverage of the league," said Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky. "The C-USA Network and the C-USA Daily Update are part of the new multimedia content that make ConferenceUSA.com a dynamic and informative resource." … The Southland Conference launched an online store December 18 featuring t-shirts, polos, hats, sweatshirts and other items. The store features a convenient login to encourage repeat purchases and dynamic menus to ease the shopping experience … The Western Athletic Conference signed an eight-year agreement with Learfield Sports to manage multimedia rights, sell title sponsorships and initiate a corporate partner program. Learfield was already in partnership with five WAC member schools.
