The Division I Board of Directors will consider legislative proposals supported by at least two-thirds of the Division I Management Council members at its January 14 meeting in conjunction with the NCAA Convention in Nashville.

The Board can give final approval to legislation before it at this time.

The Board will also hear a report from the Committee on Academic Performance and could act on a potential proposal regarding the calculation of the Academic Progress Rate as it relates to transfer student-athletes and will receive an update regarding progress on the collection of comparative financial data.

Additionally, the Board is expected to appoint three new presidents to replace outgoing members Stephen L. Weber, San Diego State University; Daniel Curran, University of Dayton; and Michael McFarland, College of the Holy Cross. The Board will also replace outgoing members of the Presidential Advisory Group, which consists of presidents from each of the 20 Football Championship Subdivision conferences. Members with terms expiring are: Curran, McFarland and Milton A. Gordon, California State University, Fullerton. Some members may be eligible for reappointment.
