The NCAA, in conjunction with the University of Texas at San Antonio and the San Antonio Local Organizing Committee, unveiled the 2010 NCAA Women’s Final Four logo December 5.

The logo pays tribute to Texas, the Lone Star State and the rich history of San Antonio, with a single five-point white star embedded within the “O” of the word “FOUR” in the design. Logo colors are red, white, blue and gray.

Texas-San Antonio and the SALOC will host the 2010 Women’s Final Four April 4 and 6 at the Alamodome. An attendance record of 29,619 was set for both the semifinals and championship game when the event was held there in 2002.

San Antonio and the Alamodome have a long history of hosting NCAA championship events, and most recently hosted the 2008 Men’s Final Four. The 2010 Women’s Final Four will be the 11th NCAA championship event hosted by San Antonio over the past 13 years, with the Alamodome also serving as the site for the Men’s Final Four in 1998 and 2004, in addition to hosting the 2002 Women’s Final Four.

The Women’s Final Four has sold out the last 17 years, including the upcoming 2009 Women’s Final Four, which will be played at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis April 5 and 7.
