JANUARY

Division I Baseball

November 10-January 4, 2007 (12:01 a.m.): Quiet period.

January 4 (12:01 a.m.)-January 8, 2007 (12:01 a.m.): Dead period.

January 8 (12:01 a.m.)-February 28, 2007: Quiet period.

Division I Men’s Basketball

October 6-March 28, 2007: Evaluation period (except for dead periods November 6-9 and December 24-26). All live evaluations during the academic year (except during the April contact period) shall be limited to regularly scheduled high school, preparatory school and two-year college contests/tournaments, practices and regular scholastic activities involving student-athletes enrolled only at that institution).

Division I Women’s Basketball

September 16-April 17, 2007 (note exceptions below): Evaluation period. Women’s basketball staff members shall not exceed 85 recruiting-person days. A recruiting-person day is defined as one coach engaged in an off-campus recruiting activity of a women’s basketball prospect on one day; two coaches engaged in recruiting activities on the same day shall use two recruiting days. Those days from September 16, 2006-April 17, 2007, not designated for contact or evaluation purposes: Quiet period.

Exceptions:

December 24-26: Dead period.

March 1-29, 2007: Contact period.

March 30-April 12, 2007: Dead period, except for one women’s basketball event certified by the NCAA held in conjunction with and conducted in the host city of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship (evaluation period) and April 6-8, 2007 (quiet period).

Division II Men’s Basketball

The period between the prospect’s initial and final high school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.

Division II Women’s Basketball

The period between the prospect’s initial and final high school or two-year college contests: Evaluation period.

Division I Football

November 26-February 3, 2007: Contact period, except for the dates listed below. Six in-person off-campus contacts per prospective student-athlete shall be permitted during this period with not more than one permitted in any one calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) or partial calendar week.

Exceptions:

December 17: Quiet period.

December 18-January 4, 2007: Dead period.*

January 5-7, 2007: Quiet period.*

January 8-11, 2007: Dead period.*

January 12-13, 2007: Quiet period.

*Institutional staff members may contact a prospect who has been admitted for midyear enrollment, provided the prospect has signed a National Letter of Intent or other offer of admission or financial aid to attend the institution and is required to be on campus to attend institutional orientation sessions for all students.

Division II Football

December 1-March 12, 2007: Contact period.

Exceptions:

December 18 (7 a.m.)-20 (7 a.m.): Dead period for two-year college prospects and their educational institutions.

February 5 (7 a.m.)-February 7, 2007 (7 a.m.): Dead period.

Division I Men’s Lacrosse

November 27-December 23: Quiet period.

December 24-January 3, 2007: Dead period.

January 4-April 8, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

April 9-12, 2007: Dead period.

April 13-May 24, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

Division I Women’s Lacrosse

November 22-January 1, 2007: Quiet period.

January 2-April 8, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

April 9-12, 2007: Dead period.

April 13-May 24, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

 

Division I Softball

December 10 (12:01 a.m.)-January 1, 2007: Quiet period.

January 2-April 8, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

April 9-12, 2007: Dead period.

April 13-May 28, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

May 29-June 7 (noon), 2007: Dead period.

June 7 (noon)-July 31, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

Division I Women’s Volleyball

January 1-12, 2007: Quiet period.

January 13-April 8, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

April 9-12, 2007: Dead period.

April 13-30, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.

May 1-25, 2007: Quiet period.

May 26-July 31, 2007: Contact/evaluation period.
