Presidential poke — University of Hartford President and former NCAA Executive Committee Chair Walter Harrison took batting practice recently with Hawks head coach Jeff Calcaterra on the mound. Afterward, Harrison posed with Calcaterra (left), assistant coach Mike Susi (second from right) and assistant coach Inaki Ormaechea (far right). A longtime baseball aficionado and former student-athlete, Harrison wrote his doctoral dissertation about the sport. He currently serves as chair of the Division I Committee on Academic Performance.
