Marquette fights breast cancer —
Marquette University’s men’s and women’s soccer teams sponsored a Soccer Mom Clinic this spring for more than 50 women. Associate head coach Stan Anderson said, “Breast cancer is ridiculously prevalent in our lives and it has affected countless people here at Marquette. If this event can help in any way, then we did our job.” The clinic raised $5,000 for breast cancer research. “I can’t tell you how many soccer moms came up and credited our Marquette student-athletes for a job well done,” Anderson said.
