Sites have been identified for all but one NCAA Convention through the 2019 event.
During that period, the earliest start for the annual meeting will be January 11 in 2008, 2012 and 2017. Because of an oddity in the schedule, the 2007 Convention began on January 5, which was the earliest start since 1955.

Beginning in 2009, the date formula for the Convention will change. At that time, it will shift from a Friday start to a Wednesday start and end with the Divisions II and III business sessions on the Saturday before the Martin Luther King holiday, which is observed on the third Monday in January.

The later start means that future conflicts with the Bowl Championships Series football title game will be avoided. This year’s championship was played on January 8, the last day of the Convention.

Here is the list of dates and sites for future NCAA Conventions:
2008 —  January 11-14, Nashville, Tennessee (Gaylord Hotel)
