Community outreach —
The Nova Southeastern University baseball team participated in the Miracle League World Series Game recently in Rose G. Price Park. The World Series was the culmination of an eight-week season for the Miracle League All Stars, a team of children with special needs and disabilities who have realized their dream of playing organized baseball. The entire Sharks team and coaching staff were on hand to assist the Miracle League children in batting, fielding, throwing, running the bases and enjoying the game. To cap the evening, Nova Southeastern players autographed and presented their game jerseys as mementos for each Miracle League player. “Being a part of the Miracle League World Series was an honor for our team,” said Nova Southeastern Athletics Director and head baseball Coach Mike Mominey.
