The University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth named Kelly Roy as its head softball coach. Roy returns to her alma mater after graduating in 1998 as one of the most decorated student-athletes in school history.

Roy led Massachusetts-Dartmouth to an 84-36 record and four post-season berths during her playing days from 1993-96. A three-time Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division III New England All-Star, Roy twice earned first-team honors. She also garnered first-team honors in the Little East Conference and was named second team all-region by the National Softball Coaches Association. Roy was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2003.

Roy has coached field hockey at Case High School for the past nine years and served as an interim assistant softball coach at Massachusetts-Dartmouth in 2004. She replaces Holly Morris, who served as interim coach last spring.
