Ron Fogarty has been named the first men’s ice hockey coach in Adrian College history.

An assistant coach at Bowling Green for the past four seasons, Fogarty coached five NHL draft picks during his tenure.

A graduate of Colgate University, Fogarty was named to the ECAC all-rookie team in 1992 and received the Colgate Coaches Award in 1994. He ranks 20th on the school’s all-time scoring lists with 141 points.

After his collegiate career, Fogarty moved on to play one season of professional hockey in the Central Hockey League. He returned to coach at Colgate for three years before accepting a position as an assistant at Clarkson.

Adrian recently broke ground for the $5.5 million Arrington Ice Arena. The Bulldogs will begin competing in Division III next season.
