Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution’s multisport conference. The Division I nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process by the conference office.

Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship Committee: One Division I September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from a Division I-AAA conference.

Division II

Division II individuals may be self-nomination or nominated by peers. A Division II nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process available at: web1.ncaa.org/committees/selection.jsp. Divisional access code and password are available upon request.

Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is May 19, 2006.

Foreign-Student Records Committee: One October 1, 2006, Division II vacancy. The appointee will replace Jonathan Conant of the University of Minnesota Duluth, who will resign from the committee at that time. The appointee should have significant experience with international credential evaluation.

Division II Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee: One July 2006 vacancy. The appointee will replace Robert Oliver of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, who will resign from the committee at that time. There are no restrictions on this appointment.

Division II Women’s Basketball Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Kathy Turpin, formerly of Barry University, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an administrator from the South region.

South region conferences: Gulf South Conference, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Sunshine State Conference.

South region independents: University of Puerto Rico, Bayamon; University of Puerto Rico, Cayey; University of Puerto Rico, Maraquez Campus; University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras.

Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Linda Barley of York College (New York), who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be a woman from the Atlantic region who represents women’s interests. The appointee may be a coach or an administrator.

Eligible Atlantic region conferences: Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference; Empire 8; Eastern College Athletic Conference; Liberty League; New Jersey Athletic Conference; North Eastern Athletic Conference; Presidents’ Athletic Conference [Westminster College (PA)]; Skyline Conference; State University of New York Athletic Conference.
