Newly announced vacancies

 

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is March 17, 2006.

 

Men’s and Women’s Fencing Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from the Mid-Atlantic region and may be a coach or an administrator from any division or subdivision.

 

Additional nominations solicited

 

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is March 17, 2006.

 

Men’s Water Polo Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee may be from any division and any region. Preference will be given to West region nominees.

 

 

 

Division I

 

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution’s multisport conference. The Division I nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process by the conference office.

The deadline for submitting nominations materials for the following vacancies is March 27, 2006.

 

Division I Legislative Review/Interpretations Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Amy Huchthausen, formerly of the America East Conference, who resigned from the committee. The appointee may be from any subdivision.

 

Division II

 

Division II individuals may be self-nomination or nominated by peers. A Division II nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process available at: web1.ncaa.org/committees/selection.jsp. Divisional access code and password are available upon request.

Division II Softball Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Dough Hupke of San Francisco State University, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the West region and may be a coach or an administrator.

 

Eligible West region conferences: California Collegiate Athletic Association, Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

 

Eligible West region independents: Brigham Young University, Hawaii; Chaminade University; Grand Canyon University; Hawaii Pacific University; University of Hawaii at Hilo.

 

Division III

The appointee will replace Vicky Chun, formerly of the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an ethnic minority. Women are encouraged to submit nomination materials.

Women’s Basketball Rules Committee: Two September 2006 Division III vacancies. One appointee must be from Region 1; one appointee must be a coach. Region 1 states include Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia.

 

Men’s Lacrosse Rules Committee: One September 2006 Division III vacancy. The appointee may be a coach or an administrator.

 

Men’s and Women’s Soccer Rules Committee: One September 2006 Division III vacancy. The appointee must represent women’s interests and may be a coach or an administrator.

 

Division III Men’s Basketball Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the Midwest region and one must be from the Northeast region. The appointees may be coaches or administrators.

 

Eligible Midwest region conferences: College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Midwest Conference, Northern Athletics Conference, St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, University Athletic Association (University of Chicago).

 

Eligible Northeast region conferences: Commonwealth Coast Conference, Great Northeast Athletic Conference, Massachusetts State Colleges Athletic Conference, New England Men’s and Women’s Athletic Conference, New England Small Colleges Athletic Conference, North Atlantic Conference, University Athletic Association (Brandeis University).

 

Division III Women’s Basketball Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the Atlantic region and one must be from the Northeast region. The appointees amy be coaches or administrators.

 

Eligible Atlantic region conferences: Atlantic Women’s Colleges Conference, City University of New York Athletic Conference, Skyline Conference.

 

Eligible Atlantic region independents: College of St. Elizabeth.

 

Eligible Northeast region conferences: Commonwealth Coast Conference, Great Northeast Athletic Conference, Little East, Massachusetts State Colleges Athletic Conference, New England Small Colleges Athletic Conference, North Atlantic Conference.

 

Eligible Northeast region independents: Newbury College, St. Joseph’s College (Maine).

 

Division III Field Hockey Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be an administrator from the New England West region.

 

Eligible New England West region conferences: Little East.

 

Eligible New England West region independents: St. Joseph’s College (Maine).

 

Division III Men’s Golf Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the Great Lakes region and one must be from the West region. The appointees may be coaches or administrators.

 

Eligible Great Lakes region conferences: Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, North Coast Athletic Conference, Ohio Athletic Conference, Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

 

Eligible West region conferences: American Southwest Conference, Northwest Conference, Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

 

Eligible West region independents: California State University, East Bay; Chapman University; Menlo College.

 

Division III Women’s Golf Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from Region 5 and may be a coach or an administrator.

Eligible Region 5 independents: University of California, Santa Cruz; California State University, East Bay; Nebraska Wesleyan University.

 

Division III Men’s Lacrosse Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be a coach from the North region.

 

Eligible North region conferences: Commonwealth Coast Conference, Liberty League, Little East, New England Small Colleges Athletic Conference, North Atlantic Conference, Pilgrim League, State University of New York Athletic Conference.

Division III Women’s Lacrosse Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from the New England region and may be a coach or an administrator.

Division III Women’s Soccer Committee: Three September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the Great lakes region, one from the Central region and one from the Mid-Atlantic region. One appointee must be an administrator.

Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must represent women’s interests from the West region. The appointee may be a coach or an administrator.
