Association-wide

Additional nominations solicited

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is March 10, 2006.

Men’s Gymnastics Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Susan Kovacs of the University of Illinois at Chicago, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be an administrator and can be from any region, division or subdivision.

Men’s and Women’s Rifle Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be a coach and may be from any division or subdivision.

 

Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution’s multisport conference. The Division I nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process by the conference office.

The deadline for submitting nominations materials for the following vacancies is March 10, 2006.

Division I Women’s Basketball Issues Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. The appointees must be from Division I-A and may be coaches or administrators.

Division I Field Hockey Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. Both appointees must be from Division I-AA or I-AAA. One appointee must be from the Northeast region and one may be from any region.

Women’s Ice Hockey Committee: One Division I September 2006 vacancy. The appointee should be from Division I-AAA and must be an administrator.

Division I Men’s Soccer Committee: Three September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from Division I-A and two must be from Division I-AA or I-AAA. One appointee must be an administrator. One must be from the Middle Atlantic region, one from the New York region and one can be from any region.

Division I Women’s Soccer Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from Division I-A. The appointee can be a coach or an administrator from any region.

Division I Softball Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from Division I-A. The appointee may be from any region. Administrators are encouraged to submit nomination materials.

Men’s Water Polo Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be an administrator. Preference will be given to nominees from Division I-A.

Division II

Division II individuals may be self-nomination or nominated by peers. A Division II nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials should be submitted via the online nomination process available at: web1.ncaa.org/committees/selection.jsp. Divisional access code and password are available upon request.

Newly announced vacancy

The deadline for submitting nomination materials for the following vacancy is March 3, 2006.

Division II Women’s Soccer Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee will replace Will Bedingfield of Lenoir-Rhyne College, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the Southeast region and may be a coach or an administrator.

Eligible conferences: Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference, Peach Belt Conference, South Atlantic Conference. Eligible independent institution: North Greenville College.

Division II Women’s Volleyball Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from the South Central region and may be a coach or an administrator.

The deadline for submitting nominations materials for the following vacancies is February 28, 2006.

Division II Academic Requirements Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

Division II Women’s Basketball Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the South Atlantic region and one from the West region. The appointees may be coaches or administrators.

South Atlantic region conferences: Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Peach Belt and South Atlantic Conferences. South Atlantic region independent institutions: University of North Florida, North Greenville College. West region conferences: Great Northwest Athletic Conference, California Collegiate Athletic Association. West region independent institutions: Grand Canyon University.

Division II Men’s Golf Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the South/South Central region and one from the Northeast/East region. One appointee must be an administrator.

South/South Central region conferences: Gulf South Conference, Heartland Conference, Lone Star Conference, Sunshine State Conference. South/South Central independent institutions: Florida Gulf Coast University.

Northeast/East region conferences: Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, Northeast-10 Conference, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Northeast/East region independent institutions: University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown.

Division II Women’s Lacrosse Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be from the North region and may be a coach or an administrator.

North region conferences: New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, Northeast-10 Conference. North region independent institutions: Wilmington College (Delaware).

Division II Men’s Soccer Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the New England region and one from the Southeast region. One appointee must be an administrator.

New England region conferences: Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, Northeast-10 Conference. Southeast region conferences: Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference, Peach Belt Conference. Southeast region independent institutions: University of North Florida.

Division II Men’s and Women’s Tennis Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must be from the Central region and one from the Great Lakes region. One appointee must be an administrator.

Central region conferences: Heartland Conference, Lone Star Conference. Great Lakes region conferences: Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference, West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Great Lakes region independent institutions: Oakland City University, Tiffin University.

Division II Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee: Two September 2006 vacancies. One appointee must represent men’s interests and one women’s interests. One appointee must be a male and one must be a female. One appointee must be from the South Central region and one from the Northeast region. One appointee must be an administrator.

South Central region conferences:  Heartland Conference, Gulf South Conference, Lone Star Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (New Mexico Highlands University). Northeast region conferences: New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, Northeast-10 Conference.

Division II Women’s Volleyball Committee: One immediate vacancy and one September 2006 vacancy. Immediate vacancy: The appointee will replace Shawna Rawson, formerly of St. Cloud State University. The appointee must be an administrator from the North Central region. September vacancy. The appointee must be from the Northeast region and may be a coach or an administrator.

North Central region conferences: North Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. North Central region independent institutions: Upper Iowa University. Northeast region conferences: Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, New York Collegiate Athletic Conference, Northeast-10 Conference.

Division II Wrestling Committee: One September 2006 vacancy. The appointee must be an administrator from the West region.

West region conferences: Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. West region independent institutions: San Francisco State University.

Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey Rules Committee: One September 2006 Division II vacancy. The appointee may be a coach or administrator that represents either men’s or women’s ice hockey.

Division III

Division III individuals may be self-nomination or nominated by peers. A Division III nomination form must be completed for each nominee. Division III Membership Committee: One immediate vacancy. The appointee must be a chancellor or president. There are no other restrictions.
