Collecting for their community — For the second straight year, the Mercy College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee conducted a community-service project to help families served by the Mercy Center, a community center located in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. The center offers programs and services that empower women to reach their full potential and become agents of change in their families and communities. The SAAC collected an array of donated items ranging from clothing to groceries to school supplies and even a flat screen computer monitor.
