Habitat helpers — The University of Northern Colorado women’s volleyball team spent a day recently working on a Habitat for Humanity project in Denver. Student-athletes worked on a duplex that will house two families. “It was neat to work with the homeowners and see how much they appreciated our work,” said head coach Lyndsey Benson. “It is good for the girls to give back to the community. “They have been blessed with healthy bodies and the ability to play as athletes, and this is a good way for them to give back by using their physical abilities.”
