Future student-athletes - Virginia Military Institute

Future student-athletes — The women’s soccer program at Virginia Military Institute wrapped up the spring season by hosting a skills clinic for young girls at Patchin Field in Lexington, Virginia. The free event attracted about 30 girls who took part in skill instruction and other activities. Each participant received a certificate for a free T-shirt, redeemable at a women’s soccer home game this coming fall. "From the perspective of both myself and the team, we enjoyed the afternoon and the ability to provide a fun, learning opportunity for the girls," said VMI head women’s soccer coach Bryan Williams. "The girls learned skills that they had not been exposed to before, and I think this really set the groundwork for something that we’ll look to continue next fall and spring. We hope this will encourage more girls and their families to come out and support us at our games next fall."
