Repeat champions

The Methodist College women’s golf team continued to dominate the Division III championships with a 76-stroke victory over second-place Gustavus Adolphus College last month. The Monarchs have won nine straight titles — all seven Division III championships and the last two when the event was a combined Division II/III tournament in 1998 and 1999. In all, Methodist has 10 national titles and one runner-up finish in the 11 years the NCAA has had a championship for Divisions II and III.
