The NCAA Hall of Champions hosted a "Be A Champion" event during the recent USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis in conjunction with USA Track and Field, Anthem, and the American College of Sports Medicine. The program promotes physical fitness for children, living a positive lifestyle and staying in school. At left, Jeremy Wariner, 2004 Olympic gold medalist, speaks to the group. At right, steeplechase specialist Daniel Lincoln (left), sprinter Kia Davis, and Olympic relay teammates Darold Williamson and Wariner listen to Jon Drummond, another gold and silver medalist, address children during the event. All of the athletes competed at NCAA institutions — Wariner and Williamson at Baylor, Lincoln at Arkansas, Davis at Saint Augustine’s and Drummond at TCU. Photos by Marcia Stubbeman/The NCAA News.
