Two promoted to director level in membership staff

Two national office staff members in membership services, Stephanie Quigg and Jay Jones, have been promoted to the director level.

Quigg has been reclassified after serving as the membership services liaison to Division II since June. She will continue her work with the Division II governance staff, helping coordinate various Division II initiatives and publications, assisting with administration of the Division II segment of the NCAA Convention and as a liaison to the Division II Legislative Review Subcommittee, the Division II Academic Requirements Committee and the Division I Progress-Toward-Degree Waivers Committee.

Before joining the national office staff in July 2003, Quigg was department attorney for Bricker & Eckler LLP of Columbus, Ohio. She also clerked for a federal district court in Louisiana and for the Wagner & Bagot firm of New Orleans. She is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a J.D. from the Loyola University School of Law.

Jones was promoted to director of membership services with primary responsibilities overseeing the Division III staff. He will be the primary liaison to Interpretations and Legislation Committee, secondary liaison to Strategic Planning and Finance Committee and a liaison to Management and Presidents Councils.

He previously served as an associate director of membership services working primarily in the area of interpretations. Before joining the NCAA staff in July 2003, Jones worked in the compliance office at the University of South Florida and served as director of compliance at Saint Louis University. While in Saint Louis, he also served as an adjunct professor of business law at Fontbonne University.

Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he also served as a student employee in the events management area of the athletics department. He obtained his masters of business administration and juris doctorate degree from Stetson University.
