Heart helpers — Thirty members of the Connecticut College women’s cross country team participated in the American Heart Association’s five-mile walk recently. The Camels, who raised $2,000, were inspired by teammate and friend Erica Gagne, who is living with a condition known as right ventricular displasia that disrupts the rhythm of her heartbeat. Gagne no longer competes on the team, but her condition does not prevent her from running with the team on lighter workouts.
