Newly announced vacancies

The deadline for submission of completed nomination materials for the following vacancy is August 25, 2000.

Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee: Two Division II vacancies. The appointees will replace Terry Tyler, formerly of Eastern New Mexico University, and David Thomas, formerly of Bowie State University, who have resigned from the committee. Appointees must be ethnic minorities and may be either male or female. There are no regional restrictions.

Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Dale Mildenberger, Utah State University, who has resigned from the committee. The appointee preferably will be from Division I and must be a male athletic trainer.

Division I

Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. The Division I nomination form and Division I nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: Two newly created vacancies due to the expansion of the number of men's tennis representatives on the committee. The appointees must represent men's tennis. One appointee must be from Region 4 and the other must be from Region 7.

Division II

Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II nomination form and Division II nominee information form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori L.
