Milestones: Glenn Robinson, Division III's career leader in men's basketball coaching victories, extended his record mark to the 700-win milestone when Franklin & Marshall College defeated Swarthmore College November 27. Robinson, who became the division's most victorious coach in February 2004 with his 667th career win, became the 25th men's college basketball coach (and only 10th active coach) to claim 700 victories. As the game ended, hundreds of fans waved "Congratulations Coach Robinson" banners, and the coach was presented with a commemorative jersey and a framed letter of congratulations from another member of the 700-victory club -- former University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, coach Dean Smith. "He was so helpful in letting me examine his system and watch how he coached," Robinson said. "Being on any list with him is a terrific honor. His letter, and all the people that were in today's crowd, including former players, people from my church, my family and some folks I haven't seen in 20 years, made this a very special day." ... James Lancaster collected his 200th victory in men's basketball November 21 when Aurora University defeated McMurry College in the Lee Pfund Classic hosted by Wheaton College (Illinois). The victory opened Lancaster's 12th season at the school ... Trinity College (Connecticut) became the 20th Division III school to notch 500 victories in football when the Bantams defeated Amherst College November 12. A week leader, Trinity closed out its third straight unbeaten season and extended its Division III-leading victory streak to 30 with its defeat of Wesleyan University (Connecticut), claiming its fourth straight New England Small College Athletic Conference crown in the process. Trinity has sponsored football for 120 years and will enter next season with a 501-337-42 program record.

Miscellaneous: Delaware Valley College quarterback Adam Knoblauch became one of seven players in NCAA football history and only the second in Division III to throw for 10,000 yards and run for 1,000 when the Aggies defeated Juniata College November 5. Knoblauch's 350-yard passing performance against Juniata put him on the exclusive list.
